October 2009 - January 2010
To christen The Wall project we enlisted the help of incredible street artist and all round good guy Rich T. Rich, based in Bristol, has been creating quite a buzz on the street art scene with his bold, surreal prints, incredible wall pieces and paintings
He is part of the mighty 'WHAT' crew and has been developing his style since the turn of the century. His work conjures up other worldly scenes with his bold lines and psychedelic illustrations. He is equally at home painting large scale pieces with cans and brushes as he is with traditional pen and illustration work.
The Contemporary Urban Centre's Wall is now adorned with a 'Russian Doll' themed piece, slightly melancholy in tone but ofset with bright vivid colours, surreal shapes and characters.
The piece took just over two days to complete and creates an incredible focal point for our Cafe. Rich also completed an incredible piece of live art for our relaunch in October which can be viewed in the gallery by clicking the link below.
Rich T is currently exhibiting in Amsterdam with 'The Goof', a striking collection of black & white artwork. For more information on Rich check the links below:
